Express Entry (Federal Skill Worker)

Uncategorized

Since 1967, Canada has used Express Entry (Federal Skill Worker) to choose newcomers from all over the world. Before the FSWP, Canada chose skilled worker immigrants based on the opinions of immigration officers who were asked to decide if the candidates could fit in with the Canadian job market.

The Canadian government introduced the world’s first points system to select immigrants after realizing this old approach was flawed. Canada would abandon subjective criteria. It decided to evaluate all candidates objectively based on age, education, language skills, work experience, occupation, and other factors.

Express Entry (Federal Skill Worker) benefits

Express Entry manages the FSWP today. Canada wants over 110,000 immigrants by 2024 under Express Entry. Most Express Entry winners immigrate to Canada through FSWP. Government research shows that FSWP immigrants have successful and fulfilling careers in Canada.

FSWP immigration is also advantageous because you can gain permanent residence in six months, unlike Canada’s other skilled worker programs.

How FSWP immigration works:

The FSWP is one of three skilled worker programs in Canada that use Express Entry. If you have never lived in Canada or are not a trained trades worker, the FSWP is the best way to use Express Entry. First, make sure you meet the FSWP standards.

Fill out a resume for Express Entry. The CRS score you get depends on your age, amount of education, work experience, and language skills. Canada’s government holds draws every two weeks for Express Entry to see which of the top CRS marks wants to apply for permanent residence. There are six months between when you put in your application and when you get your permanent residence.

A step-by-step guide to FSWP immigration to Canada:

Step 1: Determine FSWP eligibility. CanadaVisa eligibility tool is free.

Second, submit your Express Entry profile to the IRCC website.

Step 3: Check for a permanent residence ITA. About every two weeks, IRCC draws Express Entry.

Step 4: Submit your permanent residence application to IRCC after receiving an ITA. You can move to Canada after IRCC processes your application.

The Federal Skilled Worker Program requires applicants to meet work, language, education, and 67 points on the program’s 100-point grid.
